Get Lucky March 18th- Regina

So when you are advised to not drive on the highways due to blizzard warning, don't drive on the highways.
I played a show in Regina and my time slot was at 1am, we left home at about 8:15pm and got to Regina at 12:30am.
Unbelievable.
We rolled into the party and the promoters told everyone already that I was not actually going to be there due to the bad weather. All in all the gig was sweet. Yet again, in Regina, I blew a breaker and all the power went off. I have a record there to blow breakers on the sound systems there so I wasn't surprised and just cheered.
This picture sums it all up.
(I know, why me)

NEVERLAND - Winnipeg March 11

Ok, so last night I played this show in Winnipeg and it was one of the most stereotypical "raves" I have ever been to in a long time. The party was at the Ramada Inn convention centre/theatre and we got there about midnight to see an old friend Patrick DSP play a live set. I met him at the World Electrinic Music Festival in 2000 and his production is SO BRILLIANT it was techno done proper.
We get into the venure to a line up about 60 people or so cramed in this little room. The little sketchy dude beside me tells me to wait in line and I pulled the "ummm I'm the headliner tonight and I don't need to wait in lines" routine and then he proceeds to ask me if I take my clothes off while I play like this other German FEMALE dj Porcha Surreal. I told him "I wish man" and walked away VERY confused. Either I looked like a stripper that night or a sexy woman. I had to yell into the ticket booth for Ray (dj Rayne, whom I did a tag team set with) to get us an alternative route in. He brought us VIP passes and I plowed my way through with my record bag to get us all in. We were invited by a sea of 16 year old (and possibly younger) ravey kids and it was like seeing a blast from the past except there was WAY more smut involved. Literally, skimpy girls wearing tiny shards of cloth showing off their "developing wares" and all the rave gear was out in full force. This picture pretty much sums it up.
Patrick's set destroyed me and Rayne and I were up next. We had an awesome time playing for the hour and a half and fun was had by all. It's great to see people are still into the hard techno and there are still those that appreciate it for the music and not the glam. Although by the looks of this party, it was all about being cool.

Ok, add to the list here...Remember _________... (insert music related accident here)
So I was looking for my Massive Attack Protection album and I came across another one (well, several others too) that somehow made it into the collection which should'nt really be there.
Remember the band Tulli ???? HA.. I over played that bitch so much.. I think it was the Aqua blue cover that made me want it as a play copy.
Ouch

Here are the links to some pics that Sam (my cousins friend) took when we were on our India tour. These ones capture the moment pretty damn good. There are tiny descriptions at the right of each pic too.
Hope you enjoy!

Kali is the goddess of dissolution and destruction. Maybe I will extend her name to Kali the Thunderbolt- Sitar of Doom!
